Enterprise Content Management

ECM – Defined
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) is a combination of solutions which allow organizations to apply structure to their existing processes, collaborate on workflows, organize documents, comply with regulatory requirements, create, archive, and/or dispose of structured and unstructured data within a system and which allows for security and integration of all content throughout an organization. “Content” refers to documents and can include: memos, letters, e-mail messages, reports, forms, recordings, drawings, photographs, presentations, scanned documents; or snap shots of output from structured data sources.

An ECM solution manages all the information your business or organization uses, creates and/or stores and disseminates it throughout the organization in an organized fashion which increases efficiency and decreases time spent in retrieving records, recreating documents and waste spent in duplicating efforts.
